MixTape is a program that runs on your own computer. Your music and the sets you build never leave it. This page is about the little the website itself keeps, so you can see all of it in one place.
Your music stays yours
Songs, sets, mixes and exports live on your computer only. They are never uploaded, never copied to us, and we cannot see them. Separating a song into its parts also happens on your own machine.
What the website keeps
To run the beta we keep:
- Your email address, and your name if you signed in with Google.
- Where you first came from: the site that linked you, a campaign name in the link, the first page you opened, the country and city, and the kind of device and browser. Not your exact location, and not your network address.
- Your answer to “How did you hear about MixTape?”, if you answer it.
- When you signed in, when you downloaded, and a code for each computer MixTape was activated on. The code cannot be turned back into anything about your computer.
- Any email you send us, so we can reply and remember the conversation.
What we do not keep
- Your network (IP) address. It is turned into a scrambled value, used for a day to stop abuse of the sign-in form, then deleted.
- Payment details — the beta is free and the site takes no payments.
- Anything for advertising. There are no advertising trackers on this site.
Cookies
Two, both ours, neither used for advertising: one keeps you signed in, and one remembers where you first arrived from so we know which links bring people to MixTape. The second lasts 90 days.
Who else sees it
Three services we use to run the site, and no one else. We do not sell or share your details.
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and stores the data.
- Resend — sends our emails.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
How long, and getting it removed
We keep your details while you have an account. Write to hello@mixtape99.com and we will tell you everything we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Deleting the account removes it and stops MixTape on its computers.
